Hello my freaky darlings!
I've been waiting to do that all week!
(It was closer to two weeks, really. I arrived in London on the 10th, and it is now the 21st. I have been eleven days without the Internet and it shows. I dreamt about Livejournal and commenting. I believe that is LJ withdrawal.
London, if I am to believe what I am told, has been unusually warm in the time I've been here. Unfortunately, even when I was back home, I would wander about in sweaters, so London's heat is still cold, to me.
I have missed all of you like Obi misses Qui.
At present I am at a Virgin Megastore Internet Cafe. It costs £1 for half an hour, here. It's on Tottenham Court Road. Just minutes ago I was across the road in Waterstones, reading Neil Gaiman graphic novels. I was reading The Wake. It was beautiful.
London is - Suffice to say (for now) that there are Young Adam posters in every single Underground Station
. I watched Underworld yesterday. Vampires and werewolves. Can't miss that. *tilts head and smiles* GOD it was wonderful. Although I did think of Kain and Raziel at moments. Underworld came out in London on September 19th. It'll come out in Singapore October 10th. I saw the trailer for the Matrix Revolutions. And it had Agent Smith laughing maniacally. ^_^ TWICE. I also saw an LXG trailer that had Mina saying, "I can do a lot
of things." Which I don't remember seeing in the movie.
ALSO I SAW A YOUNG ADAM TRAILER.
I moved in to my hall yesterday. I met a LOTR fan from Greece. ^_^ English is her second language, but we both own the Extended Edition. Yet I still can't say that I've spent my first night in the hall, for I went to bed at 1.10am yesterday. ^_^ Went to visit another hall - anyasy
- Audrey and GM's hall - and I was told that just this week, they had a lovely impromptu fire drill at 10 at night, due to someone who was grilling food in his room. So it was out in the freezing cold at 10pm.
THE LORD OF THE RINGS MOTION PICTURE TRILOGY IS HAVING AN EXHIBITION IN THE SCIENCE MUSEUM IN LONDON! UNTIL THE FIRST OF JANUARY!
I've watched Les Miserables. Also am having very many Bad Thoughts about that show. ^_^ I watched Chicago, and risax
was right. It's better live. ^_^
Other than setting up bank accounts and a phone - which is like Getting A Shrubbery for the Knights of Ni - I'm having a lovely time.
I miss you all so
