I recommend KKM wholeheartedly - I know it may not be the prettiest anime (even though I think it's very pretty!), and it may have more crack than most people would like, but I love this series so much. It's never let me down. ♥ Things get better after the 10th episode, if you stopped watching because you were bored. ;)
Maybe I should have mentioned I only saw the first 10 episodes of KKM because I only have the first 2 dvds.
But I watch those dvds over and over. I LOVE KKM!! :)

Zero Punctuation reviews never fail to bring the lulz. I don't watch many, since I am pretty video game ILLITERATE, but the reviews I have watched for the games I've played are YES, SO TRUE it makes me double over.
I want to write this cracked-out WRONG!summary of Reborn wherein Tsuna Sawada discovers at the age of 14 that he's inherited a criminal empire and an army of overeager henchmen (wait, make that Gokudera), and he wants nothing to do with any of it. Wait, that'd be just like Reborn, only that everybody around him would be actual proper Mafia instead of 50% Mafia, 50% schoolmates shanghai'ed into the Mafia, and Tsuna would be even more fish-out-of-water than usual.
I'm a ConYuu fan for KKM ^^;; Sorry.... I read the novels first, so my mind was set on ConYuu XDDDD

The novels are mainly written in the perspective of Yuuri....I think there are now 18 novels out now. There are 4 side story novels and 14 from the main story. I'm afraid to read to translations....they may kill off all hints of ConYuu b/c it's not such a popular pairing in the anime >.> The ConYuu undertone is much stronger in the novels ^^;;;; Since I don't have any difficulties with reading Jap, the novels are a really fast/light/fun read.

I started reading KKM novels a long time ago. Besides, a 181-page KKM novel (with a Muraken preview special) > 200 page judgments from 1800s with words that no longer exist in the dictionary.
I didn't choose to put in my insane hours for articling! My firm made me!! I would leave at a reasonable hour if they don't come into my office last minute with stuff that is supposed to be due yesterday... I swear they do this on purpose!
My Chinese is...ummm...worse than my Japanese. That is just sad considering Chinese is my first language and I went to an all-Chinese school until high school...darn!
ConYuu is actually a very popular pairing in the Japanese KKM fandom but an unpopular pairing in the English-speaking fandom XD There are lots of yummy ConYuu moments in the novels and mini-dramas ^^.
An interesting seiyuu tidbit is that ConYuu features Morimori x Sakupyon. Sakupyon has quit performing in BL dramas because he disliked fans pairing him up with other male seiyuus--in particular Morimori. If you like Saiga Mitsuki, you may like Ai wo Utau yori Ore ni Oboreru! series. Saiga-nee actually plays a female character in the CD XD
