*Bilbo Freakout Expression* "I Am Going Now."

Reborn - Yamamoto CHIBITA
I have nothing intelligent to say, but I will say it anyway.

I'm leaving for London tonight. Will be back in June.

This is the song I was singing through last night.

It's from An American Tail: Fievel Goes West. It's sung by his sister Tanya, and this scene is a particularly enchanting one, where Tanya dances across a sunlit room, and with her brush, brings a painting to sparkling life.

Linda Ronstadt, Dreams to Dream

Dreams to dream in the dark of the night
When the world goes wrong, I can still make it right
I can see so far in my dreams
I'll follow my dreams
Until they come true.

There is a star waiting to guide us
Shining inside us when we close our eyes!
Come with me, you will see what I mean,
There's a world inside no one else ever sees.
You will go so far in my dreams,
Somewhere in my dreams,
Your dreams will come true.

Don’t let go, if you stay close to me
In my dreams tonight, you will see what I see
Dreams to dream, as near as can be
Inside you and me, that always come true,
Inside you and me, that always come true.

Last song wildly blasted:

Lord almighty,
I feel my temperature rising
Higher higher
It’s burning through to my soul

Girl, girl, girl
You gonna set me on fire

I feel my temperature rising
Help me, I’m flaming
I must be a hundred and nine
Burning, burning, burning
And nothing can cool me
I just might turn into smoke
But I feel fine

Cause your kisses lift me higher
Like a sweet song of a choir
And you light my morning sky
With burning love

Carol Berg's latest book will be out in February 2004 - Son of Avonar. Here's an excerpt. She, together with Robin Hobb, were the writers who taught me how to love first-person perspective. And considering I hated it with a passion before them, that's something. ; )

It's also rather important to note that her narrator's a woman named Seri. Or at least, it had me shrieking with laughter last night. XD

And speaking of Serry,

OMG!!!!Why Didn't I think of That?!Pairing.

I know it's been thought of before. But not written the way Silien wrote it.

*goes glomp c_dreamcatcher*

Shrieked with laughter when I first read it in ranchelle's place. Today I was thinking about the pairing and couldn't stop smiling. Sibling looked at me and said, "WHY are you smiling?!"

By the way, anyasy, c_dreamcatcher, aingeal_isilme, la_muerta:

If Jon gets married first, he treats us to a chocolate buffet at the Fullerton. If he doesn't, Allen treats us.

Sound good? ; )

Finished Property Essay at 5am last night. GO ME. Whenever I'm working on a Law Essay, I end up being very up to date on LJ. Places I frequent when writing essays outside of my FriendsList - somniesperus, mctabby, amanuensis1, loony_moony, marysues and deleterius. XD

ranchelle has every right to murder me, on account of the rendzevous meeting places I arrive at, which shift faster than my attention span when actually writing a Law Essay. A particular image of Yoshiki and his mirror reminded me disturbingly of the Fool. ; ) Watched X-Japan DVD. Very impressive. Liked it more than I thought I would. ; ) ranchelle, thank you for the glorious art! *hugs* Also, because of you, I and my haversack shall tinkle all the way to London. XDDDD

How could I not go?! Sibling was playing an aristocrat, mannerisms inspired by Jack Sparrow. When asked at dinner what an aristocrat was, "Lord Golden" was my immediate answer. Collected blackmail material many pictures, among them Dom doing the Whiney Whiney. Met up with Sparrow, wingless (curious how they match), and Jon. We have concluded that missing JC is a result of being in NS. Later headed off to Parkway for an impromptu dinner at Sakae Sushi, where we learnt that photographs are absolutely forbidden. Jon entertained the entire restaurant. XD Extremely fun.

Am going to tie you to your bed, just like I threatened you the other time, with your bdsm pillow. ;)

Heh. Ah well. Can't stop you, right? And besides, your siblings might jump on me. ^^;;;;;;;;;

Will be at the airport, with pom poms!! XD

Glad you enjoyed the DVD more than you thought you would! And the guitarist you mentioned you liked is Hide (the one who died ;_;).

Now that you mention it, Yoshiki and that nekkid piccie does remind me of the Fool as well ^_^ They're both so pretty! Doesn't help that Yoshiki had his lovely long hair dyed blond at that time too.

And well, I'm afraid I'm not very good with handicrafts (I learnt how to make that keychain thingie just by observing and experimenting, actually), and if the tinkling little thing it falls apart, it's okay to dump it. But not before you safely get off the airplane. XD Talking of which, I still have an almost finished Gryffindor scarf sitting in my cupboard... You could probably have it if you like when I do get around to finishing it one fine day. (I don't have a use for it but you do, being in cold london and all XD)

Then maybe after that, I can go learn to knit a hat, socks or work on a Slytherin scarf :P There's this knitting shop at Jurong Point which teaches knitting and crocheting...I wanna learn XD No, don't look at me like I'm an old grandma!

Won't you be a grandpa, considering your gender?
10th-Jan-2004 10:33 am (UTC)
Yes, but grandpas don't want to be seen knitting. ^_~
10th-Jan-2004 05:19 pm (UTC)
But you could be "The Grandpa That Sew".
12th-Jan-2004 11:07 pm (UTC)
A grandpa that sews and knits is very unnerving. O_O
Maybe a 'grandpa that tailors woollen and yarn products' is a better way to phrase it XD

*glomps* Bye! Though I guess by the time this message gets to you you'll be in UK already *smile* So... hello??? It was fun meeting you and hopefully we'll catch up next time you're back...

And wheeeeeeeee!! I love that song too!!! I remember watching it over and over again when I had the tape and memorizing the song... I just had to download Dreams to Dream when I started downloading songs and I still have it... though it's not the Linda Ronstadt one but the original one sang during the movie.

Hmm.... book sounds interesting *smile* May check it out though likely if I hit Sunnys, Rachel will just throw it at me which works too *grin* I've always been fond of the first person perspective. If you're interested, I can recommend some others though the ones I recall off the top of my head aren't really fantasy but more supernatural and comedic detective... kind of... authors are Laurell K Hamilton and Janet Evanovich but I'm sure I have more than those lying around... just can't remember. Only tip about LKH, she's starting to degenerate into soft porn which is *clucks tongue* mildly annoying... but the guys are still... *swoon*

Hmm... really have to reread (or would that be read *sheepish*) my Robin Hobb... just found my books *sweatdrop* so that's another four books on my to-do list... *sigh*

Wait - if Jon gets married first, compared to who? Allen?

As aingeal_isilme said, win-win either way *grin*
